Fans fume at ‘liar’ Taylor Swift after she excuses her absence at MTV EMA 2024

After Taylor Swift missed the 2024 MTV Europe Music Awards, fans accused her of lying on TV.

When Taylor Swift claimed she couldn’t make it to the 2024 MTV Europe Music Awards, her fans accused her of lying. Interestingly, the fans pointed to Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs game as the cause for their absence from the music awards presentation. In order to attend as many of her boyfriend’s matches as she can, the singer has been alternating between her Eras Tour appearances.

Swift and Post Malone won the Best Video Award on Sunday for their joint project, Fortnight. During the show, the singer’s pre-recorded acceptance speech was played by the network. “I am coming to you from the Eras Tour, and I’m so sad that I can’t be with you tonight,” she stated at one point.According to Taylor Swift, “I am coming to you from the Eras Tour, and I am so sad that I can’t be with you tonight.”

It was the day in Kansas City, where Swift was busy at Kelce’s game, where the latter defeated the Denver Broncos 16–14, when the video was broadcast during the ceremony that took place in the UK at night.

In addition to Swift, her mother, Andrea Swift, was present to cheer on Kelce’s squad. The football player tied a record previously held by a former Chiefs player by scoring enough touchdowns throughout the game, marking a significant milestone in his career, according to Page Six.
