Travis Kelce was loving the music during the American Century Championship golf event on Friday. The Kansas City Chiefs player was seen grooving to a remixed version of his girlfriend Taylor Swift’s “Lavender Haze” while playing the 17th hole on the green. Travis, who played with his brother Jason in the celebrity golf competition, bopped his head along with the song while standing next to Jason at the hole.
The Kelce brothers had a smoother afternoon on the course. Hours before, the NFL Champion struck a couple of spectators with errant golf balls. Travis, 34, inadvertently hit one of the onlookers in the audience with an inaccurate approach shot while playing his opening hole. Later, he approached the man he had hit and kissed his arm where the ball had touched him.
Travis Kelce was also recorded dancing to Taylor Swift’s ‘cruel summer’ and his father, Ed, could not stop smiling as he watched his son openly expressing his love for Taylor, he seemed very proud of Travis.
In another errant shot, he struck a 20-something woman in the back of the head, leaving her bleeding and in need of medical assistance. A source informed the newspaper that witnesses noticed blood stains in her blond hair. The two mistakes did not entirely throw Travis off his game, as an eyewitness at the event earlier informed Page Six that Travis was in good spirits while competing in the competition.
“As Jason was preparing to hit one shot, Travis was ‘shushing’ the crowd with his finger over his lips and jokingly telling the crowd to be extra quiet – ‘because he needs all the help he can get!’” the insider told us. Swift, 34, did not accompany her boyfriend to South Lake Tahoe, Nev., for the tournament, but she did show her support for him after he was awarded the NFL’s No. 1 tight end.
“ESPN polled coaches, executives and scouts for their top 10 Tight Ends in the NFL with Travis being ranked 1st in the league!” reads the original Instagram post from Chiefs. On Friday, the “Blank Space” singer liked a post that announced the news.
