Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has become one of the more popular figures in the movie industry, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t have to make some calls when it came to Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour.” “The Rock” is currently on a tour of his own to promote his upcoming film “Moana 2.”
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Johnson discussed his new movie and when asked if he has ever had to “pull strings,” the actor admitted that Swift’s concert was the only case he had to do this. “Taylor Swift,” Johnson said.
“The only one. It’s never happened in my career. Usually, I don’t have to pull strings. Usually, I’ll just… I just make it happen. In this case, it was for a good friend of mine, who was like, ‘Please, Taylor. Last concert.'” Johnson then admitted that he dislikes asking for things, like he did for the Swift concert.
“I’m never good at asking for that kind of stuff,” Johnson added. “I’m good at giving it. Hate asking for it. People will tell you, I hate asking for stuff, and I don’t do it. But, in this case, made a little call, Taylor made it happen. Tickets. Happy. I got the picture of the happy ladies who were there. All is well in the world. I appreciate that about Taylor.”

Before he was a popular figure in Hollywood, “The Rock” started his career on the football field. The 6-foot-5, 260-pounder played defensive tackle for the Miami Hurricanes from 1990-1994. He also won a ring as Miami secured a national championship in 1991.
After not making it far in his professional football career, Johnson took his talents to the wrestling ring, joining World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) from 1996-2004, becoming a ten-time champion in the Survivor Series. Now, “The Rock” is one of the most popular actors in the world, working in many blockbuster films including “Jumanji,” the “Fast and Furious” franchise and even played a superhero in the live-action adaptation of DC Comics’ “Black Adam.”
Meanwhile, Swift has also become a popular figure in the football industry. She is dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and has attended all of his games at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium during the 2024 NFL season.
