The NFL player was previously seen in one of Swift’s videos in which the two were seen chatting while she was cooking.
Donna Kelce is jokingly exposing a few of her son Travis Kelce’s shortcomings.
The 71-year-old Kelce matriarch opened up to Extra TV about the things the 34-year-old tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs is incapable of doing, despite his recent success as a host and actor and his prowess in football.
“He can’t clean. He can’t cook,” she listed off jokingly, before adding that he was “getting a little better.”
“I think he’s getting some help,” Donna noted, hinting that he might be picking up some tips from girlfriend Taylor Swift, 34.
The 14-time Grammy winner previously posted various moments from her life on YouTube Shorts, including a video of him kissing her in the kitchen as she stirred a pot. Several food ingredients were visible on the counter behind them in the brief video.
During a June Chiefs press conference, the NFL star said that he enjoyed cooking with Swift and answering questions about their appearance in the video. However, he refrained from commenting on the types of cuisine they prepared together.
“I respect that question but I’m going to keep that one to myself because I thoroughly enjoy cooking with her so it’s something I’d rather just keep personal,” he responded.
In the press conference, he went on to say that the vocalist of “Fortnight” “makes a great pop-tart and cinnamon roll.” In September 2023, after the couple revealed their relationship to the public, she even baked cookies for Travis’ teammates.
“Kind of behind-the-scenes, she, to fit in — she didn’t even know she was doing this, I don’t think — she likes to cook, so she made the offensive linemen these homemade pop-tarts,” Chiefs coach Andy Reid revealed during an interview at the NFL Scouting Combine in February.
As Travis has made his comeback to the football field for the NFL’s most recent season, Swift has been there to support him. She appeared at the Chiefs season opener earlier this month and at the Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium on September 15. She donned an oversized Chiefs T-shirt and thigh-high boots for both events.
After completing her European leg of the Eras Tour in mid-August and performing a second set of gigs at London’s Wembley Stadium, Swift has taken a break from her tour. Her tour is expected to resume in Miami in the middle of October.
Previously, Kelce appeared at some of the singer’s European Eras Tour gigs as her tour supporter. During her performance on June 23 at London’s Wembley Stadium, he even made an unexpected appearance on stage.
