While there are some who have criticized the relationship between Travis Kelce and pop megastar Taylor Swift, the majority of fans have welcomed what can be considered one of the most high-profile love teams of recent years.
One music icon who has expressed her support for Swift and the “Eras Tour” headliner’s more-than-year-long relationship with Kelce is country music royalty Dolly Parton.
In a recent interview, the 78-year-old shared her honest thoughts on Swift as well as the latter’s love affair with the three-time Super Bowl champion. “I’m crazy about Taylor,” Parton told Caroline Bermudez of E! News. “I just admire her so much, what she’s done with her life, her career.
“She’s such a great artist and songwriter and then their little love affair. I’m thinking people love romance.” Based on how fans reactions about the Swift-Kelce romance, it’s hard to argue against Parton’s statement here.
Supporters have adored how the couple, despite their extremely demanding schedules, have made an effort to support each other in their respective careers.
On Nov. 2, Kelce flew to Indianapolis to catch one of his girlfriend’s final shows in the United States before the “Eras Tour” closes out the year-and-a-half-long concert series in Canada. This was despite the fact that the Chiefs had a game in Tampa just two days later.
For her part, Swift was spotted at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium to support Kelce and the Chiefs when they took on the Denver Broncos on Sunday.
The “Fortnight” singer attended one last game before heading to Toronto for Thursday’s “Eras” show, which will be the first of six concerts in the span of 10 days.
All these point to the notion that both Swift and Kelce are going above and beyond to show their love for one another — a relationship that has gotten Parton’s stamp of approval.
The country music legend, who has sold more than 100 million records worldwide throughout what has been an awe-inspiring 60-year career, is a revered figure in the industry, and her opinions usually hold a lot of weight.
