In case you missed it, TMZ Sports reports that in early October, the houses of Kansas City Chiefs superstars Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes were both “burglarized.” Even though the incident in issue happened more than a month earlier, the news was made public on November 12.
The next day, November 13, Mahomes spoke to the media, as he usually does on Wednesdays during the regular season. To start the press conference, he was asked about the alleged break-in right away.
“Obviously, it’s frustrating. It’s disappointing,” the Chiefs quarterback told the media ahead of Week 11. “But I can’t get into too many of the details because the investigation is still ongoing.”
Mahomes added that this is “something that you don’t want to happen to really anybody but [also] obviously yourself.”
According to paperwork from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office that TMZ Sports was able to get, Mahomes declined to acknowledge if he or any of his family members were home when the burglary attempt took place on the evening of Sunday, October 6. However, he did mention that once the investigation is complete, the details of the case will likely “be talked about.”
