Chiefs Fans Furious About Insane Travis Kelce Comments by NFL Analyst

Chiefs Fans Furious About Foolish Travis Kelce Comments by NFL Analyst

Travis Kelce is off to the slowest start of his career, with just eight catches for 69 yards through three games. However, the narrative pushed by certain talking heads has gotten ridiculous and Chiefs fans aren’t happy about it.

Todd McShay, a former NFL Draft analyst, appeared on The Ringer Podcast Network and gave perhaps the worst Kelce take we’ve seen yet. His comments were foolish, not grounded in reality, and overall goofy to share.

Kelce isn’t putting up the stats we’re used to but there’s no questioning his commitment. He’ll be the first to tell you that all he cares about is winning, which the Chiefs have done a great job of.

Todd McShay Gives Asinine Travis Kelce Take

“Are we not allowed to say that he’s out of shape? That he’s been partying all offseason. That he’s been jet-setting around with probably the most famous person in the world,” McShay said. “The coverage and the respect he gets is the same, the athlete is not.”

No one told McShay how aging works, apparently. Anyone who expected Kelce to be the same athlete he was five years ago is being obtuse, and McShay’s certainly getting the attention he wanted. Chiefs fans on social media are letting him hear it, so hopefully he’ll think before he says something this nonsensical next time.

“He’s not the same guy right now,” McShay continued. “There’s no one else doing more commercials in the league, he’s been at more events, doing more things socially. It’s impossible to carry that schedule and still put in the same time for football.”

All of Kelce’s commercials and TV appearances were filmed this summer. During his travels, he brought three personal trainers with him to keep up his regimen. We saw in the 2023 postseason that Kelce is still the post dominant pass-catcher in the NFL when he needs to be. He just doesn’t need to right now.

Rashee Rice is dominating and once defensive coverages adjust, Kelce will have more space.

Patrick Mahomes has missed him on a couple of throws, and Kelce had a long catch called back in Week 2 that would’ve made fans feel much better. It’s easy to just look at the box score, but actually watching the games shows you that Kelce can still create separation and deliver when necessary.
