Travis Kelce arrived in style for the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Houston Texans, wearing a $1.6k puffy jacket and a $4.2k Louis Vuitton cap. Kelce’s fiancée Taylor Swift is expected to cheer him on in a rare Saturday NFL game, as she is free to return to Arrowhead for the first time in over three weeks after wrapping up her Eras Tour earlier this month.
Kelce arrived at Arrowhead sporting a $4,225 Louis Vuitton x Nigo LV Made Stripe Flat Cap, a $1,595 beige faux-fur jacket from luxury designer Marni, light denim trousers, brown boots, and shades. Taylor Swift donned a fluffy long coat, boots, and a black hat. Scott and Andrea Swift have also joined Taylor to support Travis against the Texans.
The Chiefs hope to continue their near-flawless season, having won 13 of 14 games thus far, with their lone loss coming to fellow Super Bowl hopefuls the Buffalo Bills. They will face the Texans, who currently lead the AFC South with a 9-5 record and have won three of their last five games.
While he may appear to be the part, the 35-year-old enters Saturday’s game against Houston in poor football form, with one gloomy statistic summarizing his problems in 2024. After 14 games this season, Travis is the only NFL player with 75 receptions or more who is averaging less than 10 yards per grab. With 8.4 yards per reception, he is also nowhere near that level.
This is Kelce’s first season as the Chiefs’ starting tight end without exceeding that number, while Swift’s boyfriend often averages 12 to 13 yards per catch. His drop-off was not a one-season decrease, with last year’s yards-per-catch total dipping to 10.6.
Kelce’s yards-per-catch average is not his only obvious fall this season; he has only two touchdown receptions, which is surprising for a man whose career high in a season is 12. Nonetheless, if he returns to form against the Texans, the tight end has a chance to create a new team record, with Swift potentially watching on.
Kelce will overtake Tony Gonzalez for the most touchdown receptions in Chiefs history if he scores his 77th this afternoon. He also became the fastest NFL receiver to reach 12,000 career receiving yards – in 172 games.
If that does happen against the Texans, Swift is expected to watch from the stands. The pop megastar has attended six of the Chiefs’ seven home games this season, missing their most recent game against the Los Angeles Chargers due to Eras Tour engagements.
